Spice Blend Chickpeas

Kabuli Chana or white chick peas have an exotic nutty flavour that adds a different layer to your preparations. These come laden with essential nutrients like zinc, foliate, protein, and many more, that help to control cholesterol and reduce risk of heart disease.


To cook 2LB  of Chickpeas Curry, you will need :

  • Chickpeas – 2 cup (370g)
  • Onions – 2 medium sized
  • Cooking Oil – 1/3 cup
  • Tomato puree – 1/3 cup
  • Chickpea Spice Blend – 1 pack
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard or Cumin seeds – 1tsp (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  • Soak the chickpeas overnight and boil the chickpeas with a pinch of salt
  • On a thick bottomed skillet, heat oil and saute mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chopped onions
  • Add the pack of chickpeas spice blend in it and stir-fry for 2 min
  • Combine tomato puree, salt and boiled chickpeas into this and cook covered for 10 min
  • Serve this along with Indian bread and rice
